Having a Personal Time with God
Day 1: Contacting God Individually

Mark 1:35 And rising very early in the morning, while it was still night, He went out and went away to a deserted place, and there He prayed.
Matthew 6:6 But you, when you pray, enter into your private room, and shut your door and pray to your Father who is in secret; and your Father who sees in secret will repay you.
In order to grow in life in a normal way, we need to have a personal relationship with the Lord (Matt. 6:6; cf. S.S. 1:2, 4). This requires us to have a time alone with the Lord day after day. Even if we are busy or tired, we should still endeavor to reserve time with the Lord. During this time alone with the Lord, we should contact Him privately, not bringing anyone with us.
During our time with the Lord, we should not allow any distractions to come in. If someone calls us on the telephone while we are having a time with the Lord, we should have the attitude that since we are fellowshipping with the Lord, we are absent from everything else because we are fully occupied by Him. We need to realize that during our time with the Lord, we are busy with Him. In this sense, we are not at home during this time and are not available to receive a phone call. In order to have a profitable time with the Lord, we must be absent from everything and occupied only by Him. In order for us to experience life, it is crucial that we practice having a personal time with the Lord.
Reflect:
Set a timer for 3-5 minutes, and practice spending time with God.
Prayer:
“Lord Jesus, help me to set apart some time to spend with You in my college years.”
